Why Loeb won 9 times in a row and why we love Latvala.

Just sit and watch side by side the different driving styles, the perfection and accuracy of Loeb against the talent of Latvala, who even though staying behind after a "bad" corner (Around 4:53 in the video), manages to catch up.

It just seems that the Citroen tractions better out of the corners, but the VW makes it up on top speed. Latvala was almost alway catching up to Loeb on the long straights, curves. But on maneuvering wise both where pretty much equal.

I could be wrong too, and maybe Latvala just has a heavier foot on the pedal, which is also widely known.

That's the beauty! That's what fascinates so much.

Still, only shows clearly how both styles and cars compare. That both are equally competitive, and how Loeb is a master of finding his way around a corner, whether it's because the car is better tuned by his team or not, it still shows why he's such a champion, and that his team is as valuable (if not more) than himself. And Latvala, having a car that may be tuned wrong and therefore lost traction or it was him not cornering right... doesn't matter, he still managed to catch up. Latvala often complained about wrong tires or suspension not being correct.

And don't get me wrong. I still don't like Loeb, but 9 titles is a undeniable feat.

Too bad WRC's YouTube channel doesn't take requests anymore. Good old times.
